I know when I say this, people will not believe me. However you should know it is true. I am far from the most confident person in the world. In fact, I’d say I am rather (or extremely) insecure about a lot of (ok, most) things.
Every time I tell someone this, they always give me the side eye because they just cannot believe it to be true. I must be lying because in their opinion, when have I ever been insecure? Not to mention, sometimes they will ask me for advice on how to deal with something because give advice at times is what i do. I think there are maybe five people who actually believe me when I say this because they’ve seen it. But for the most part, no one believes me. And the reason no one believes me is because somehow I have made myself the master of faking it until I make it. How’s it going? I’m about to go run a few miles while you’re off to go do whatever you plan to do, but first I think I owe you an explanation and maybe even an apology.
It is really not all that interesting that after going to certain places at generally the same times, you start to see the same people. So it is no surprise that we have run across each other quite often given how often we go to some places. After a while, “normal” people will actually start to talk to those people they see often and maybe even become more than just someone you see, but possibly friends.
If you’ve read any past posts on here, you know I spend a lot of my time at the gym working out. So it should come as no surprise that last week I was at the gym and had a most interesting conversation.
That conversation involved of all things relationships. Or more importantly, starting them. It all began when I was talking to another member about how he doesn’t show up for a particular class on Thursday mornings with one of his favorite instructors and attending law school.
Eventually this led to guessing how old I am and conversation about how blondes and gingers are not my type, but brunettes are just so good. Oddly, the guy is just the opposite and he can’t stand brunettes, but loves him some blondes and gingers. Continue reading →
